Automatic reordering rules
When stock falls below the defined minimum, Odoo automatically creates a purchase order or manufacturing order. Alternatively, the reordering report proposes quantities for manual approval.
Lot and serial number tracking
Every lot (batch) and serial number is tracked end-to-end. Expiry dates are monitored; the FEFO strategy issues stock with the earliest expiry first.
Multi-warehouse and putaway rules
Multiple warehouses and any number of internal locations are managed centrally. Putaway rules route incoming goods to the correct location based on product category, weight or capacity.
Flexible removal strategies
Odoo issues stock using configurable strategies: FIFO (oldest first), FEFO (earliest expiry first) or LIFO (most recently received first).
Picking optimisation
Batch picking, wave picking and cluster picking allow several orders to be processed in parallel, increasing warehouse throughput.
Barcode scanning
Receipts, picking and stocktakes are recorded via barcode scanner or mobile device — no PC access required on the shop floor.
How it works in practice
Receive
Goods receipt is captured by barcode or mobile app. The delivery is linked to the corresponding purchase order and directed to the correct location.
Put away
Putaway rules assign goods to the optimal storage slot automatically. Lots and serial numbers are recorded for end-to-end traceability.
Pick
Pick orders are optimised by batch or wave logic. Staff scan items at the storage location — paperless and error-free.
Ship
Delivery orders are created and validated in Inventory. Shipment status is visible in real time within the system.
