    WhatsApp Business Messaging seamlessly integrated into your Odoo environment

    Odoo WhatsApp connects your business to customers via the official Meta WhatsApp Business Platform. Messages can be sent directly from Odoo records such as quotations, invoices, orders and helpdesk tickets — without switching between Odoo and WhatsApp.

    Incoming customer messages arrive in the Odoo inbox and are assigned to the responsible team member. The full conversation history is stored on the relevant record and visible to the entire team.

    Official Meta integration

    Odoo uses the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) from Meta. Setup requires a Meta Business Manager account, a WhatsApp Business account and a phone number approved for the API.

    Send messages from Odoo records

    WhatsApp messages can be sent with one click directly from quotations, sales orders, invoices, purchase orders and helpdesk tickets. The sent message is logged on the record.

    Message templates

    Outbound messages to customers who have not been in contact within the last 24 hours must be sent via Meta-approved templates. Templates are created in Odoo and submitted for Meta approval from there.

    Handle incoming messages

    Customer messages appear in the Odoo inbox. The support team replies directly in Odoo — free-form text is possible within the 24-hour reply window.

    A single WhatsApp channel can be managed by several team members simultaneously. Conversations are assigned by rule or picked up manually.

    Odoo can notify customers automatically via WhatsApp — for example, on order confirmation, delivery announcement or payment reminder. Triggers are configured using Odoo automation rules.

    Set up the channel

    The Meta Business Manager account is connected to Odoo. The WhatsApp Business phone number is registered in the Odoo backend and the channel is activated.
